*NEW STORY HERE* A large financial services call center company called Kandor Group asking for help with their employee turnover. They wanted Kandor to run market compensation reports for all their call center jobs so they could see what the market was paying in their geographic area. They were convinced that increasing pay would solve the turnover problem.

When Kandor Group delved into the details, we actually found the problem started at recruiting. They were hiring the wrong type of person for their call center. These positions needed employees who could focus their efforts on selling financial products. The people they were hiring were administrative and were not skilled at sales.

We recommended the first step in addressing their problem was changing the hiring process to focus on people who were sales oriented. Then, they needed to craft a compensation model to drive those salespeople. A good sales person thrives on being able to increase their pay when they sell. We designed a low base salary paired with a very competitive commission plan.

After a few months of Kandor’s Managed Services, the client’s turnover problem was eliminated and their sales skyrocketed.
