Our Story
A message from Sheryl Bredeson, founder and CEO of Kandor Group:
I started my career in human resources in 2000, quickly discovering my passion for helping people through the tough intricacies of running a human-centered business. As I met amazing people, I started to envision creating a business dedicated to supporting other companies with their HR needs. So many businesses don’t have the resources or expertise for an effective human resources team.
My love for building processes, systems, policies, and procedures from the ground up, coupled with my knack for solving complex HR issues, inspired me to establish Kandor Group. I thrive on helping people: business owners, executives, managers, and employees solve problems, making their professional lives easier by taking HR worry off their plate. This drive to make a difference in the HR world led to the founding of Kandor Group.

Sheryl Bredeson
CEO
As President & CEO of Kandor Group, Sheryl brings a wealth of human resources expertise and experience that ranges across multiple industries and company sizes. Leveraging over two decades of years of experience in human resources management, including business management, Sheryl leads the company in helping clients achieve and sustain HR compliance objectives, optimize workforce performance, and maximize each client’s business profitability. Sheryl holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in technology management, a Master’s of Business Administration, and a Master’s of Science in Human Resources Development from the University of Houston.
Lauren De La Garza
Lauren joined Kandor Group in July 2021, and currently serves as an HR Business Partner for several client companies. She is tasked with a variety of HR responsibilities in the areas of new employee onboarding, benefits administration, HR compliance, training & development, and employee relations, as well as HR process design and implementation. Lauren is PHR certified, and she brings a wealth of professional experience that she has successfully leveraged in her role at Kandor Group. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz, and is currently completing her Certification in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources. Lauren is passionate about ensuring companies stay in compliance with federal and state employment requirements, as well as building professional relationships with employees. Outside of work, you can find Lauren doing agility with her dog, Jasper, or in the kitchen cooking up a storm.
Meghan Guthrie
joined Kandor Group in November 2022, and currently serves as an HR Business Partner supporting several client companies with recruiting and hiring. She recruits talent for both managerial and non-managerial positions, and in functional areas ranging from operations, accounting & finance, manufacturing, human resources, customer service, administrative support, and others. Meghan’s 10+ years of professional experience working in leadership, business administration, operations, and merchandising have enabled her to successfully fill countless positions in record time while at Kandor Group. She is currently completing her degree in sociology with a focus in law and a minor in psychology from Sam Houston State University. She is married, a mom of an energetic toddler, and enjoys spending time with her family.
